2006 California Underclass
Michael Pasek is a 2007 SS/2B from Granite Hills HS, residing in Apple Valley, CA, with a 5'7" 135 lb. frame. He has a small frame, but is athletically proportioned with a little life in his body. On offense he showed quick hands and a quick swing with a good approach to hitting. Not a big player, but there is a little life in his swing. At the dish he is a competitor and makes solid line-drive contact. On the bases he showed an ability to steal a base. Overall, his offensive skill set fits at the top of the order well, particularly in the two-hole. On defense Pasek has solid actions. He got good jumps to the ball, particularly the slow roller. He has a quick arm and his throws tracked a bit across the diamond. Pasek has good feet and good hands, possessing the fundamentals and some athleticism that make him an above average defensive player. This is a good baseball player. He gets his knocks plays good defense and certainly looks like he will play college baseball.
