Jan Lopez is a 2018 RHP with a 6-2 158 lb. frame from Rio Grandes, PR who attends Colegio Nuestra Senora Del Pilar. Long and lean athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with a well paced delivery, deep arm action in back with some wrapping action but gets through on time, high 3/4's arm slot. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, pounds the strike zone with strikes, spots his fastball well to both sides of the plate with occasional running life. Very consistent release point on his fastball and slider, slider has good depth and is very consistent, can use his slider more but really didn't need to to cruise through hitters, very efficient performance. Good bet to keep improving as he gets stronger.
