Wes Garrett is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford HS. Recorded a 6.91 second 60-yard dash time. Thin frame with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary lefthanded pitcher with good tempo out of the windup. Quick side step and comes to a belt high leg lift. Good posture and fluidity throughout delivery. Clean and compact arm action with a short, fluid arm circle. Higher three-quarters arm slot with slight arm side run to the fastball. Pounded the lower third of the strike zone effectively. Tight spinning curveball with 11/5 shape and depth; confidence and willingness in the pitch to use it in any count. Secondary outfielder with a compact arm action and lower three-quarters arm slot. Accurate throws with sound mechanics through release. Lefthanded hitter with an upright and narrow base. High hand set with a high back elbow. Feel for handling the barrel with a slightly open stance. All fields approach and contact with a high finish through the ball. Tremendous student.
