Ron Cole is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-3 196 lb. frame from Neptune City, NJ who attends Communications HS. Tall athletic build, some present strength with plenty of physical projection. Long and loose arm stroke from a 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, some energy at release, stays on line well. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, gets very good sinking and running action at times. Shows good feel for his change up with similar sinking action. Sweeping slider will flash depth but can be tightened up. Lower slot sinker/slider pitcher, throws strikes and competes well. Very good student, verbal commitment to Kentucky.
