Nick Schnopp is a 2019 OF/IF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Camarillo, CA who attends Adolfo Camarillo. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.02 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with deliberate footwork while closing and working through the baseball. Extended, clean glove to hand exchanges while working through transition. Creates a quick arm circle back at separation and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Front side spins off at times while releasing and produces uphill carry to the bag with accuracy, topped at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a straight, even stance and leg lift trigger. Lower half shows rotational actions to contact that produces occasional shift. Compact, line drive hand path to contact with a quick barrel in and out of the zone. Can turn barrel at times when working to pull side and generated hard line drive contact to the pull side gap. Shows best swing plane and contact when creating extension through contact and working to the middle of the field. Good student as well.
