Connor Charpiot is a 2020 2B/RHP with a 5-10 171 lb. frame from Santa Rosa, CA who attends Maria Carrillo. Medium frame with a solid build with some strength. Primary second baseman with clean footwork while surrounding the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling the baseball out front and works through exchange well. Flashed good range to each side with the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Primarily released from a high three-quarters arm slot creating accurate, on line carry across the infield topping at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Inside path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed good feel for the barrel and consistently worked the to all fields. Flashed ability to turn barrel head to contact and create hard contact to the pull side gap as well. Also pitched utilizing a small side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball had slight downhill tilt through the zone with some run, topped at 74 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/4 shape with good spin and solid depth in the low 60's. Looked to fill the zone early with fastball and change speeds late with off speed. Good student. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition.
