Carson Hinnant is a 2020 C/RHP, OF, UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Heritage. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Middle-field approach when hitting, long stride out, tends to drift onto front side, hands stay close through swing and create inside-out path, line drive plane. Primary catcher, side-saddle set, receives well and shows athleticism to footwork, clocked up to 77 mph on throws. Also took outfield reps and was clocked up to 82 mph. Pitched as well, coils back over rubber, compact arm stroke, recoil after release, fastball worked 77-79 mph, showed curveball with some depth to it, threw strikes. Excellent student.
