Cole McClellan is a 2019 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Nacogdoches, TX who attends Nacogdoches HS. Small build, compact and skinny frame, plenty of fillable room throughout. Ran a 7.09 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, short quick steps to the baseball, fluid and quicker actions, fields the baseball with intent, average arm strength, topped out at 75 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, deceptive and online delivery, lateral rocker step leading to a high leg lift, long arm action to a low 3/4 arm slot, throws with some effort, arm angle created uncomfortable at-bats for righthanded hitters, created some swings and misses with the mid-70s fastball, showed feel for a curveball in the low-60s. Righthanded hitter, upright and open stance, hands sit close to body, should implement lower half and a more into load for added strength and power in swing, tight hand path to baseball with an uphill barrel plane, showed an aggressive approach with solid contact in game.
