Carter Smith is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Bishop Verot. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, lean frame with plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well with fluidity to either side and controls his body, shows lateral range, softness to hands with clean actions to the backhand, smooth overall actions and shows an easy release with big arm strength and carry across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Stays short to the ball with looseness to hands and lift out front at the point of contact. Remains under control in the box, generates easy bat speed, mostly line drive contact to pull side but ball jumps off of the barrel, power projects very well with added strength moving forward. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 14u PG Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
