Maddix Simpson is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Lehigh Acres, FL who attends Evangelical Christian. Large frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically. Ran a 7.30 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, proving to have some lateral range as he had a quick first step. Clean gather as he funnels to the body before working into transfer. Arm strength present as he threw it 84 mph with accuracy across the diamond. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a hands over the hand motion. Belt high lift to stride as he lands direct to dish. Full arm circle and released from a higher slot. Quick arm as he was up to 84 mph. Really confident with the breaking ball as he wasn't afraid to double up or throw in any count. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced while slightly open with the front side. Knee lift trigger to stride as he works into a linear cut. Leaves the legs a bit as he relies on the hands to deliver the barrel. Middle of the field approach with table setter type looks.
