Kamren James is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Southaven, MS who attends DeSoto Central HS. Tall athletic build with plenty of physical projection left. 6.75 runner, works through the ball well defensively with balanced athletic actions, good exchange and release on his throws, solid arm strength and carry, polished defender, staying in the middle infield will depend on how he grows and fills out. Right handed hitter, open stance with a leg lift load and some drift towards contact, line drive approach with contact to all fields, showed some ability to turn the barrel and get some pull pop. Didn't pitch but has been upper 80's on the mound this summer. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
