Jimmy Obertop is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends Westminster Christian Academy. Extra big and strong athletic build. Has good looseness and flexibility behind the plate for his size and build, good footwork shifting and throwing, very good raw arm strength, long arm stroke at present from a 3/4's arm slot that creates some tail. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a simple hand load, short and repeatable swing with middle of the field line drive contact, has the strength to open up and extend his swing for more power in the future. Good student, verbal commitment to Michigan.
