Grant Fahrlander is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends St. Michael's Academy. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.22 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sound set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, quick coming out of the crouch and shows actions with lower half while gaining ground, works on top of throws from a high slot, shows carry down to second base, sound catch and throws skills with accuracy on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium hand set and a slightly open stance in the box. Subtle load with a short stride moving into contact, shows a handle for the barrel and incorporates physical strength well into swing. Ball jumps off of the barrel to the pull side, quick and compact stroke through the zone and shows ability to get the barrel out front at point of contact. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Oregon.
