2020 PG 14U Summer Northeast Showcase
Matthew Kosuda is a 2024 3B/MIF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Mountainside, NJ who attends Governor Livingston. Medium, high-waisted and projectable frame with plenty of room to fill. Ran a 7.78 second 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield staying low to and through the ball, has soft hands at receiving with a clean funnel to the hand, gets momentum to the bag with some carry on throws across. Also pitched at the event, uses efficient movements to release, loose arm with whip at release through a three-quarters slot, creates some life through the zone and generates weak contact, mixed in a changeup with fade and a breaking ball that varied shape but showed good spin. Right-handed hitter, sets up with high hands and a high back elbow, shows strength in there swing on a lofted swing plane, bat to ball skills show now and project well with time. Named to 2020 14u Summer Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
