Armani Davis is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends University School Of Nova Southeastern University. Leaner frame with an athletic build and room to fill out in the future. Ran a 6.91 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher. Easy effort with a smooth delivery. High leg lift above the belt and maintains direction to plate. Releases from a high three-quarters arm slot and gets an extended follow through. Good knowledge of pitching mixing pitches well keeping hitters off balance. Ball comes out cleanly. Will pitch to both halves of the plate. Comes in on the hands to righthanded hitters with the fastball that stays mostly straight with the occasional cutting action. Sat in the low 80's while topping out at 83 miles per hour. Curveball shows a good spin with a 2-to-8 shape. Also worked out defensively from the outfield. Quick first step to the ball. Fields the ball off to the side and funnels up. Clean footwork on a smooth transfer in to throws. Keeps the ball low with average carry to the bag on throws topping out at 83 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a straight and balanced stance. Hands start high and back away from body. Hanging load into a big stride for timing. Long and loose swing path. Aggressive at the plate getting some good jump off the barrel when staying to the pull side. Very good student as well.
