Zachary Allen is a 2019 LHP with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Wharton HS. Long and slender build, has some physical projection. High leg lift delivery, lands with his front foot very closed, medium length arm action in back, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, gets some angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, throws his fastball for strikes and hitters don't see the ball well. Showed nice feel for his slider, can add and subtract on the pitch and throw it for strikes as well. Was very effective when he was mixing his two pitches. Key to development will be continuing to get stronger. Excellent student.
