Cole Verret is a 2020 C/1B, 3B with a 5-10 200 lb. frame from Needville, TX who attends Needville. Medium frame with present strength and a bulky build. Ran a 7.78 second 60-yard. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Receives out front with quick exchanges. Gains ground out with smooth footwork and twitchy actions. Very accurate throws with some carry down topping out at 74 MPH and popping a 1.98 during workouts. Also worked out from the infield. Clean glove actions out in front. Sticks the backhand well. Slightly uphill release on throws with developing carry across the diamond. Accurate throws at 82 MPH. Righthanded hitter with and even stance and high hand set. Short leg lift trigger for timing. Flat path through the zone with some barrel speed. Gap to gap approach creating lift out in front. Rotational actions to contact. Very good student as well.
