Brett Denby is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from New Albany, IN who attends Jeffersonville. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Runs well, posted a 6.69 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, light and twitchy actions on feet moving towards the ball, easy movements in the dirt with athleticism and balance, controls body well and hands play very well at the ball, ball comes out of hand cleanly and with strength and carry across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with an upright stance and utilizes a leg lift trigger moving into contact. Contact oriented approach with a feel for finding the barrel, comfort working to all parts of the field. Generates solid bat speed through the zone presently, big move through lower half working into contact. Excellent student. Verbal commitment tot Georgia.
