2018 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Noah Mrotek is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Bowie, MD who attends Arch Bishop Spalding. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a quick rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Created slight coil over back leg at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with the plate and carries momentum well. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated heavy run through the zone with good downhill plane in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Curveball had tight 10/5 shape with late depth in the mid 70's. Showed a mature presence on the mound and consistently attack the zone. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing clean, smooth footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball off to side and maintained momentum through while transferring. Released from a three-quarters slot creating stiff accurate carry to the bag at 85 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and leg lift trigger. Created good linear shift into contact with lower half. Utilized a naturally leveraged swing path while showing present bat speed and strength at contact. Consistently worked to the middle of the field and split the gaps with ease when squared. Good student. Named to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase, Top Prospect List.
