2020 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Nicholas Spaventa is a 2023 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Pitman, NJ who attends Gloucester County Institute of Technology. Tall and strong frame with an athletic look. A primary infielder, good timing with his glove and has solid range. Good transfer and release skills with some arm strength. Good angles and accurate arm. A right-handed hitter, solid bat speed and extends through contact. All fields approach with some drive, very good potential for both average and power. Very accurate with the barrel. A secondary pitcher, uses his lower half well and keeps it simple. Works quickly using a full arm stroke and 3/4 release, commanded both sides and uses all for quadrants effectively. Sequenced his pitches well, mixing a slider that showed depth/tilt. The components should develop into a power repertoire as he physical matures. Excellent student.
