Brian Regalado is a 2021 C with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Ozone Park, NY who attends High School for Construction. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout frame. Ran an 8.70 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, gains short ground with lower half coming out of crouch, can implement additional footwork into release, shorter arm action through the back, tall release, around the bag with throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a deep start to hands; utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Stays short through the zone and shows quickness to hands, has some timing components to mechanics. Incorporates strength at contact and creates lift in path, projects with additional lower half incorporated.
