Savier Paige is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Wethersfield, CT who attends Wethersfield. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, smooth funnel into a shorter arm action, worked on top of throws, comes through the backhand, will continue to refine footwork, gathered around the ball ranging up the middle. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a bent knee set up and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball, simple mechanics and repeats well with some lift out front. Gets front foot down on time, shows quickness to hands and creates some separation in swing, rising line drive contact to middle of field. Good student.
