Kodi Deskins is a 2023 C/RHP/IF with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Oldsmar, FL who attends Clearwater Central Catholic. Big and physical build with some maturity to it. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a high hand load, has a strong swing with good bat speed, ball comes hard off the barrel, has hitting tools to continue to develop. 8.04 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has solid footwork in his shifting and throwing, gains ground nicely on his throws, has a compact arm action with a quick release, throwing emphasis on quickness rather than pure arm strength. Also pitched, has a simple turn and throw delivery with a catcher's compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 82 mph and flashed a change up as his best off-speed pitch.
