Jaxson Langston is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Clyde, NC who attends Tuscola. Large frame with long limns and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly with developing fluidity while working through transition. Released from an over top arm slot generated accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 81 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and large left lift trigger. Slight hand coil at load and worked to contact with linear actions. Direct path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Swung with intent and looked to drive the ball between the gaps. Ball jumped off the barrel well when on time and squared. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. Generated good on line direction to the plate while released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball created some downward plane through the zone with occasional life out of hand in the mid 70's, topped at 77 miles pe rhour. Curveball had 10/5 shape with solid spin and early depth out of hand in the low 60's. Flashed good feel for breaking ball with the willingness to delivery in positive and negative counts. Outstanding student.
