Trace Ferreira is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from New Berlin, WI who attends New Berlin West HS. Medium young build, nice build for a freshman with lots of physical projetion. 7.21 runner, used his speed well on the bases and on defense, is aggressive and has instincts. Solid footwork and actions on defense, smooth transfer and long loose arm circle, accurate on line throws, surprisingly polished footwork for his age. Right handed hitter, even balanced stance, hands get loaded well, short swing with a line drive mid field approach, tends to cut off and roll over the ball out front. Also pitched, compact arm action in back with a high 3/4's arm slot, shows a good simple delivery and good balance through release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, got three quick outs. Young athlete who should keep improving in all areas and who already has strong fundamentals across the board.
