Joel Rubin is a 2020 3B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Saguaro. Large frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Big leg lift trigger when hitting, coils back into load, uncoils well and shifts hips, line drive swing plane with some loft to stroke, does a good job covering the plate, showed some pop to pull side when squared. Primary infielder, deep funnel but hands work well, swivels hips and gets in good position, lengthy arm stroke, up to 84 mph across. Also took outfield reps, comes in on ball well and is natural fielding through, good twitch to footwork, clocked up to 85 mph on throws. Pitched as well, compact arm stroke with deception, up to high three quarters arm slot through release, repeats delivery well, fastball worked 77-84 mph range with very good life up in zone, showed curveball with short 11/5 shape and sharpness, also flashed changeup. Good student, named to 2018 National Underclass West Top Prospect List.
