2019 PG Florida Top Prospect Games at Miami
Dylan Vega is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends Pembroke Pines Charter HS. Lean, athletic frame with a high waist and some room to fill out. Primary outfielder who only pitched during the event. Athletic delivery with a simple motion, side step, and a leg lift at the waist. Hides the ball well with a clean, compact arm stroke. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot and attacks hitters. Lots of strikes and uses all three pitches effectively. Fastball topped out at 85 mph and can work the fastball to either side of the plate. Changeup was primary secondary offering with firm shape and some sink to the offering. Got a couple of whiffs with the changeup when buried in the dirt. Breaking ball shows some nice sweeping action. Advanced feel to mix pitches and attack hitters. Good student.
