Blake Borgogno is a 2019 SS with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Chino Hills HS. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for addtional strength. Left handed hitter with a spread, straight stance and leg kick trigger.. Hands load to a compact set close to body. Lower half launches to contact with rotatonal actions and occasional shift. Top half lauches to contact on a compact, line drive path through extension. Consistently squared contact to the middle of the field with occasional pop and bat speed. Smooth swing mechanics and path that will continue to improve with physical maturity. Worked out defensively from the infield showing athletic actions while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove to hand exchanges through transition. Throws across the infield from a three-quarters arm slot that produces on line carry with accuracy, topped at 75 mph. Moves well to each side while ranging to the baseball. Good student. Solid, fundamental tools for age and will continue to develop with physical maturity.
