William Owens is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Pomona Park, FL who attends Crescent City HS. Slender young build. Left handed hitter, open spread stance with a quiet, balanced load, has a sound fundamental swing, line drive swing plane and will hit the ball where it's pitched, lacks the present strength now to impact the ball hard but has a good approach. Has good footwork defensively and circles the ball well and charges aggressively, soft hands, especially on the backhand, arm strength still developing. Well coached young player who just needs to get stronger. Good student.
