2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 6)
Aaron Hobson is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Ellenwood, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian School. Medium build with compact strength and some twitch to his actions. Foot speed is a real tool as he ran the 60 yard dash in 6.76 seconds. Primary position IF, with smooth actions, soft hands and a true feel for the infield. Excellent first step quickness and hop to his actions, showing good lateral range. Arm is another loud tool with emerging accuracy but created velocity up to 88 mph across the diamond. RHH with a balanced and slightly open stance and displayed nice rhythm at the plate. Very quick hands, short and simple approach and path to contact. Created good backspin line drives, especially when he stayed gap to gap. There is some juice here and he can really turn the pole. Very good student and a player to follow closely over the next year.
