Jacob Hood is a 2021 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends Heritage HS. Medium-large frame with slender, athletic present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.20 seconds. Primary pitcher, simple and repeatable delivery, online arm stroke to high three quarters slot, lands slightly crossfire, gets on top of fastball and drives it downhill, worked 72-76 mph with lots of projection in his arm. Showed curveball with 10/4 shape with some depth. Did a good job throwing strikes. Hits from upright stance with rotational lower half mechanics, simple swing overall, line drive plane with some bat speed, shows occasional pop to the pull side. Shows solid actions with balance in the infield, fields cleanly out front and works through, arm clocked up to 75 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
