Tanner Halvorson is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Eau Claire, WI who attends Eau Claire North HS. Lean athletic build, long arms and legs for his height, has some strength in his hips. Big leg raise delivery, bit cross body on landing and release, high 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in back, medium effort on release. Low 80's fastball, mostly straight, topped out at 83 mph, will need to improve fastball command, tries to work it down in the zone but is not consistent in his mechanics. Flashed hard curveball spin and some depth but similar issues with consistency and command. Young left hander with talent and projection, clear path to improvement. Right handed hitter, shows good bat speed when his front foot gets down in time, has strength in his swing, middle of the field approach.
