Jonathan Pinto is a 2017 SS/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Sparks, NV who attends Edward C Reed. Medium frame with strong, athletic present build; quality projection remaining as well. Ran extremely well, clocking a 6.72 seconds time in the 60 yard dash. Coils back onto backside into load when hitting, keeps hands and back elbow high into load, shows quickness to hands on line drive swing plane with barrel. Has strength out front when on time and square, stays committed to the middle of the field and is capable of using entire field when hitting. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good footwork to both sides with some range, fielded cleanly out front and made quick transfers. Gets off quick release across the diamond with accuracy, throws clocked up to 78 MPH. Good student.
