Dylan Pitts is a 2018 2B/ with a 5-8 138 lb. frame from Pensacola, FL who attends West Florida. Compact frame with young, slender athletic build. Still has plenty of room and time to fill out. Right handed hitter, wide base and high hands set. Toe-tap timing mechanism with contact-oriented swing. Handsy swing with level, line-drive swing, has some bat-to-ball ability and barrel feel. Could incorporate more lower half into swing mechanics, has plenty of time to build upon solid foundational hitting tools with additional strength and maturity. Developing actions in the infield, hinges a bit at the waist, but shows solid hands and reactions with developing arm strength. Also pitches, easy paced-delivery with good balance throughout. Fastball up to 65 mph, shows easy, tension-free release. Also flashes some feel for a curveball with varied 12/6 to 11/5 break. Excellent student.
