RJ Liverpool is a 2017 OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from North Chesterfield, VA who attends Monacan. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Outstanding runner, posted a 6.63 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, works through the ball well and can incorporate additional lower half moving forward, short and quick arm action with some whip at release, tight slot with some effort, gets on top of throws well and shows accuracy to the bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow in the box and uses a high leg lift trigger for timing. Limited shift through lower half but projects well, short and fast swing with quick hands, gets the barrel through the zone with natural lift at point of contact. Loose wrists with whip to barrel, comes off well when squared and should be able to unlock additional strength, best contact to pull side. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
