Blake Bennett is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Haleyville, AL who attends Haleyville HS. Long and projectable athletic build. Uses his lower half well in his delivery, hides the ball well in his delivery, high 3/4's arm slot with good angle and works downhill well. Mid-80's fastball, has been up to 89 mph before this summer, gets lots of movement on his fastball and can both cut and run it. Showed outstanding feel for his curveball and can change the shape and work it to both sides of the plate, chance to become a plus pitch for him. Flashed a change up that will be important to his future development. Mixed very well and had a very good performance. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Alabama.
