Arnold Abernathy is a 2024 SS/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends North Cobb. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.38 seconds. Hits from upright stance with big stride into swing, big move in general to swing, solid bat speed on flatter plane, creates more opposite field approach with hand path, speed plays extremely well in his offensive game. Primary middle infielder, actions stand out as does lateral twitch and general quickness, hands work and creates quick release across the diamond with solid carry on throws. Also took excellent round of outfield drills, very light on feet and bouncy in movements, quick transfer and release showing off plus arm, clocked up to 98 mph on throws. Very good student, committed to Tennessee.
