Alejandro Torres is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-1 235 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half, pretty mature physically. Very fast arm, builds good momentum in his delivery to release and stays on line well, some energy at release but repeats his mechanics. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 94 mph, mostly straight but thrown to spots well. Fair curveball spin, lands the pitch for strikes consistently and keeps hitters off balance. Fills up the zone and pitches to contact successfully. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida International.
