Zane Zeppuhar is a 2018 OF/LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from St Amant, LA who attends St. Amant HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame, high waist, has additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short and quick steps moving towards the ball, works behind it well and does a nice job of getting on top of throws. Mechanically sound and repeats actions, can incorporate additional lower half at release but is able to generate carry to throws at present from lower slot, ball comes out cleanly and projects nicely. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow in the box. Shows looseness to set up with a short and fast hand path to the ball generating whip to the barrel. Present strength plays at point of contact, one handed follow through and generates carry off the barrel though more strength in en route. Has the ability to turn on balls, best carry and contact came to pull side. Very good student.
