Alexander Diaz is a 2021 SS/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends The Gunnery. Recorded a 7.12 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with present lower half strength. Primary shortstop with fairly decent range, solid footwork and present arm strength. Uses a well engaged lower half into the fielding position, while working into a long arm action and recording throws up to 86 mph in drills. Right-handed hitter with a calm, quiet approach, showing a short swing with minimal lower half movement. Well timed with consistent bat-to-ball skills and solid middle of the field contact.
