Clayton Peng is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins. Tall broad shouldered build with plenty of present strength for his age. Quick turn and throw delivery with some gather over the rubber, keeps his mechanics compact and repeatable, over the top slot, hides the ball well, short stride out front. Fastball topped out at 81 mph early, mostly upper 70's, plenty of projection there, gets good downhill angle on his fastball. Curveball is a good pitch with some power and two-plane depth, tends to leave his change up in the strike zone at present. Right handed hitter, limited lower half use, short swing with hands close to the body, has the strength to develop some power if he had more separation in his swing. 7.50 runner. Good student.
