Dylan Carmouche is a 2020 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Denham Springs, LA who attends Louisiana State University Laboratory. Lean and athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Up tempo delivery with a high leg lift start, over the top arm slot with a very compact arm stroke, plenty of energy at release, will drop to low 3/4's at times for a different look, lots of deception for the hitter. Upper 80's fastball, gets outstanding running action from his lower slot and works his fastball to both sides of the plate. Nice change up he throws confidently to both side hitters with good life and feel. Soft 12/6 curveball at present, might be better served with a slider he can use at both arm slots effectively. Holds his mechanics together surprisingly well and fields his position. Switch-hitter, shows bat speed from both sides and big power potential from the left side, definite two-way prospect. 6.84 runner, plays both outfield and first base, has the athleticism for the outfield but could become a plus defensive first baseman. May have a higher ceiling as a position player but has a legit chance on the mound as well. Good student. Two-way ability gives him a chance to be an elite level college player but is not committed at present.
