Houston King is a 2020 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Cabot, AR who attends Cabot. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. Very good runner, 6.58 in the sixty, comes through the ball well in the outfield with good glove position, gets rid of the ball quickly and makes soft accurate throws, speed should enable him to play centerfield. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a slow drift to his front side, gets some lower half into his load, hits the ball out front, spray hitter who moves the ball around. Top of the order leadoff/centerfield profile who should keep improving with additional strength. Good student, verbal commitment to Kentucky.
