Matthew Delp is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Chilhowie, VA who attends Chilhowie High School. Thick strong build, has some present strength in body. Hits from a slightly open stance, line drive swing plane with carry off barrel to the pull side. Does good job of getting hands into good load and staying inside ball. Defensively, medium arm action, accurate throws to the bat, has developing arm strength and carry on throws. Gains ground with lower half on throws. Has good receiving skills.
