Holt Jones is a 2017 RHP with a 6-7 178 lb. frame from Santa Monica, CA who attends Santa Monica HS. Jones has a long lean projectable build with room to fill out and add strength. Short leg lift to his belt. Gets a good hip load to drive down the hill. Has a long loose arm action with a low 3/4 slot. Lands online with a clean repeatable delivery. Worked both sides of plate and got lot of swing and misses. Fastball showed sink and run to the glove side and slight cut when he went to his glove side. Curveball showed 11/5 spin which flashed sharpness and depth. Change up showed sink the few times he threw it, pitch is developing and could develop to quality pitch. Name to the West Coast Top Prospect List.
