James McGee is a 2024 C/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Ola. Strong athletic build especially in the lower half, with room to get stronger. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good lower half athleticism and actions, moves through his throws well, has good arm strength and carry on his throws, exchange and release were clean and repeated well. Also worked out in the infield and has solid actions with some hand quickness fielding the ball. Right handed hitter, starts from a bent knee slightly open start, exaggerated inside swing approach with a lagging barrel, mid field to opposite field approach, has the strength to open up his swing for more bat speed and ability to drive the ball, best contact was when he turned the barrel and pulled the ball. Excellent student.
