Josh Maicon is a 2019 OF/2B with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Alpharetta. Compact frame with wiry strength. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 6.86 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with clean, fundamentally sound actions while closing to and working through the baseball. Fluid glove actions at pick up and released from a full arm actions generating accurate carry to the bag topping at 87 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing soft, smooth paced footwork while surrounding the baseball. Gets the baseball out quickly with a compact exchange while generating some on line carry to the bag at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Simple, repeatable path to contact and flashed good quickness through extension with a line drive barrel plane. Showed good feel for the barrel and consistently worked to the middle of the field and opposite field gap. Good student as well.
