Spencer Gleave is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Bountiful, UT who attends Bountiful HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, very spread stance with a deep hand load, swing is long but he has good bat speed and some lift through the ball, gets the ball in the air and projects power. 7.17 runner, third base actions defensively, shows some lateral range, can get his hands down to the ball more consistently. Also pitched, as some ability on the mound. Leg raise delivery with good direction to the plate, fastball very steady at 82-83 mph, gets good life down in the zone and spots the ball well. Hitters didn't get good looks at his fastball, big breaking with good shape and depth. Good student.
