Hunter Smith is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Sequoyah. Long and lean build with projection remaining; ran 60 yard dash in 7.64 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, crossfire delivery with low 3/4 slot release, generates good angle to the plate, fastball worked 75-78 mph with life and angle, shows feel for spinning a sharp slider with tilt, has deception and consistently missed bats, uncomfortable at-bat. Stays balanced working through the ball in the outfield, stays compact on the back side of arm path, clocked up to 79 mph on throws. Hits from balanced and even stance, small stride, pulls way off with upper half and leaves the zone early, opposite field approach, flashes bat speed. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
