Joselito Castro is a 2016 3B/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends DeWitt Clinton HS. Castro has an athletic build with room to fill out. Hits from a square stance, starts with hands low but loads in to good hitting slot. Relaxed set up. Line drive swing plane with strength in swing. Has good feel for barrel, squared up the ball during simulated games. Defensively, worked out from OF and INF, from the INF, sure foot work with short steps, good arm action with accurate throws. From the OF, fields out front, has long loose arm action and has accurate throws. Sure actions to the ball with clean transfer and release. Good Student.
